Who would have thunk? In search of a wholesome, sensory experience, Prateek left for Burgundy in the summer of 2010, leaving behind many his folks uncomfortable with thoughts of what the future would hold for this metalhead.

Post living and understanding wine’s nuances in France and other parts of Europe, he returned to India to share his passion. Unable to find a single online reference in the country where wine info was presented in a fun, easy to digest way, he started the iWine project.

  • Pursued a specialized Masters degree in wine and wine business from Burgundy where he gained insight in different facets of the world wine industry.
  • WSET Level-3 Advanced qualification. The qualification is one of the most well respected within and outside the beverage and hospitality industry.
  • In India, Prateek has conducted numerous wine trainings of different formats for end consumers and members of the food and beverage industry including Taj Hotels, ITC Welcome Group, JW Marriott, The Lalit and Leela Hotels and Azure Hospitality.
