Trail Itinerary

Day 1 - Lucknow (18th Jan, 2019)
Participants fly-into Lucknow. CM to flag off the Trail. Explore the city of Lucknow.
Day 2 - Prayagraj (19th Jan, 2019)
Travel from Lucknow to Prayagraj and then to Areil Sangam. In the evening, explore the city that comes alive at Sangam during Kumbh. Later, there will be a session on photography at Kumbh during 'Snan Day'.
Day 3 - Prayagraj (20th Jan, 2019)
Early morning participants to leave for photography at the Sangam (Paush Poornima Bathing Day). Later, there will be a session on image processing. Post lunch, people leave to explore the city of Allahabad.
Day 4 - Varanasi (21st Jan, 2019)
Travel from Sangam to Varanasi. Explore Varanasi, the oldest living city. Learn some tricks of street phatography in the by-lanes of Varanasi. Attend the evening aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Day 5 - Varanasi (21st Jan, 2019)
After breakfast, participants fly out to their respective destinations (from Varanasi).

Our upcoming trail, in association with Uttar Pradesh Tourism, is a journey to witness a collective display of faith by numerous people across India. Ajay Sood

Ajay Sood runs ‘Travelure‘ – a travel stories website. He is a photographer with Getty and the 2016 winner of OSM (Outlook Social Media) ‘Photographer of the Year’ by Outlook Magazine. Prior to his travel photography stint, inning, he worked for 27 years with numerous advertising agencies like Ogilvy, Lowe (earlier Lintas), Contract, Rediffusion, etc.

Ajay Sood’s articles are regularly published in travel, in-flight, and photography publications like Condé Nast Traveller, Huffington Post, JetWings, Travel3Sixty°, Smart Photography, Taj Magazine, GoGetter, etc.

Besides running ‘Travelure’, Ajay, a self-taught photographer, shares his photography learnings across the globe through travel media conferences like TBEX Europe 2016 (Stockholm), TBEX Asia 2016 (Manila), TBEX International 2017 (Jerusalem), and TBEX North America 2017 (Huntsville, AL). He recently spoke on ‘The 7 Deadly Sins of Travel Photography’ at TBEX Europe 2018 (Ostrava, Czech Republic). Some of this learning is also shared by him on ‘Travelure’.

Ibn Battuta’s famous saying – ‘Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller’ is what aptly describes his journey. He has travelled across 40 countries to narrate stories that inspire, guide, and provide answers to travellers.

Maneeza Ahuja

Striking a delicate balance between her corporate career and her higher pursuit in the spiritual realm, Ms Ahuja brings an esoteric ancient knowledge to the fore. She is well versed in the kundalini tantra which has been learnt in the guru shishya parampara. Her spiritual journey has traversed many a geography and she has had the good fortune of meeting mystics and yogis, whether it be in the mountains of Amarkantak or the Himalayan terrain of Amar Nath, she says, she has been blessed to spend time in these ‘high energy centres’.

She has learnt astrology from the legendary KN Rao, and has spent more than 15 years studying, researching the subject. Jyotisha, she says, is that enigmatic juncture which fuses the apara vidya or wordly knowledge with the para vidya or transcendental knowledge and the natal chart is nothing but the imprint of karmic retribution in its mathematical form.

Her corporate career spans over two decades and she has worked with reputed companies like Ogilvy, Bharti Walmart, McCann Erickson, etc.Her last stint was with Percept India Ltd as Sr Vice President, North Head.
