On the path that leads to divinity, we immersed ourselves in the rich heritage and soulful tunes of Sufi. One word that best describes Sufism is ‘purity’ and that is what we sought for the exclusive Sufi Trail from Delhi to Agra. We experienced our inner soul swirling to the tunes of Sufi music and our eyes admired the intricate beauty of Sufi art at historic places like the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar and Fatehpur Sikri.
For this mystical journey, we had Ms. Sadia Dehlvi as an Experience Architect who is not only a media person, activist, writer and a columnist but also a devotee of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz of Ajmer and Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi. Her devotion and a keen interest in Sufism is what she shared with us on this trail. Accompanying her was Ms. Narayani Ganesh, Sr. Editor of the Speaking Tree column of Times of India.
From witnessing the first traces of human evolution to a journey back to 3rd Century BC, followed by a rendezvous with Chanderi, discovering the hidden gem of Central India Orchha, and witnessing the majestic grace of Khajuraho’s 1000 year old architecture – the Culture & Heritage Trail, Madhya Pradesh offered a multitude of historically rich experiences for our experience seekers. Have a look!
