About The Trail

The trail started at the majestic gardens Hazira Maqbara with a session on Architectural Photography by Experience Architect Chirodeep. The participants honed their photography skills under the watchful eyes of the Experience Architect in various locations like Pratap Vilas Palace, Lakshmi Vilas Palace- the residence of the Royal family of Vadodara, Khanderao market, Scottish castle (Kothi Building) and Kirti Mandir. Experience Architect Chirodeep provided important feedback on the clicked photographs.

Chirodeep Chaudhuri

Chirodeep Chaudhuri is the author of the critically feted book ‘A Village In Bengal: Photographs and an Essay’, a result of his 13-year long engagement with his ancestral village in West Bengal; India and his family’s nearly two century old tradition of the Durga Puja. Till recently he was heading the design and photography teams of Timeout magazines’ India editions. His work documents the urban landscape and he has often been referred to as the ‘chronicler of Bombay’. During his career he has produced diverse documents of his home city in a range of projects like ‘Bombay Clocks’, ‘The One-Rupee Entrepreneur’ and ‘The Commuters’ among others. Presently he is the Editor of Photography of National Geographic Traveler (India) and lives in Bombay dividing his time between his various teaching assignments and photographing subjects as diverse as the disappearing world of the manual typewriters to cafe visitors.
