This February, experience nature in its wildest and most untouched form as you relax in the lap of nature, go for thrilling safari rides and spend the night in the wilderness of the forest in a camp. Explore the rich biodiversity of Odisha, and create numerous stories to take back home.

Odisha Wildlife & Bird Photography Trail's detailed itinerary
Set out to discover the wild tales of the East  led by  Rathika Ramasamy
  • Trail Dates: 25thFebruary - 03rd March, 2019
  • Participation Fee: 40,000 (This fee includes twin-sharing accommodation charges)
** The itinerary is subjected to changes as per the ongoing suggestions by the Experience Architect.
Day 1 - Chilika Lake (25th Feb, 2019)
The participants will reach Bhubaneswar on the night of Feb 24th, 2019. On the 25th morning, after having breakfast with the CM, the trail will be flagged off. The participants will then travel to Mangalajodi, have lunch, be a part of a photography session and then travel to Chilika Lake. Later in the evening, there will be a session conducted by the Experience Architect which will be followed by dinner.
Day 2 - Satkosia Tiger Reserve (26th Feb, 2019)
After a photography session in Nalbana Bird Sanctuary early in the morning, the participants will return to the hotel for breakfast. They later travel to Satkosia Gorge where a photography session will be conducted. This will be followed by a session conducted by the Experience Architect followed by dinner and stay.
Day 3 - Bhitarkanika National Park (27th Feb, 2019)
After an early morning photography session before breakfast, the participants will return to Satkosia Nature Camp. After lunch, they will travel to Bhitarkanika National Park. There will be a session conducted by the Experience Architect in the evening followed by dinner.
Day 4 - Bhitarkanika National Park (28th Feb, 2019)
After a photography session while on a walking trail (from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM), the participants will return to the nature camp. There will be another photography session in a creek/boat after which the participants will travel to Bhubaneswar in the evening. Dinner and stay in Bhubaneswar.
Day 5 - Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary (1th Mar, 2019)
The participants will travel to Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening there will be a jungle safari and a photography session, after which the participants return to the Nature Camp. There will be a session by the Experience Architect in the evening which will be followed by dinner.
Day 6 - Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary (2nd Mar, 2019)
There will be a morning jungle safari after which the participants will return to the Nature Camp. Later, they travel to Bhubaneswar where they relax and enjoy the night.
Day 7 - Bhubaneswar (3rd Mar, 2019)
After checking out from the hotel, the participants will be flying out to their respective destinations.

Rathika is inarguably one of India's foremost wildlife photographers. She is passionate about birds and specialises in bird photography. In the process of documenting birds through her photographs, she has developed a style of technical excellence that combines with a captivating story. She has travelled to most of the National Parks in India, and has been to National Parks in Africa as well. Wildlife photography is not only a passion for her, but also a powerful medium to help conserve nature.

In addition to this, she is a member of (NPS) Nikon's Professional Services. Her work has been appreciated and featured in several national and international publications as well as exhibitions. She regularly conducts wildlife photography workshops and organises talks all over India. She has also been a part of the jury panel for national and international photography competitions. For her, the motto is: “Every time I press the shutter it is one step closer to Mother Nature”.
